Blocking
I kept this one small and waterproof in order to hang on an outside front door frame. I kept it slightly stealth and non ornamental to blend in to the city surroundings. “Blocking” is when you decide where actors will be during scenes. In this piece, the movable collars are used to “block out” the scroll/scene. They act as “curtains” that can be “closed” to conceal everything “backstage” or pulled back to reveal any part of the scroll or reveal it completely. To celebrate a 25th birthday, there is the silver color, 25 descriptive words (inside the bottom of the scroll casing) and an “XXV” worked into the “shin” just for good measure.
OUTDOOR/INDOOR: Can be hung outside or inside.
DOORWAY: to be displayed in a doorway.
DIMENSIONS: 8” tall, about 1” wide, 1” deep
